On this year's World AIDS Day, we deliberately chose not to host any statements by politicians, scientists or any other experts on our main page. The words of an AIDS patient from Australia are more than enough. Because sometimes it takes a lot of strength to turn your problem to inspiration.
What holds back her wordswe all hear about it
we understand it
just get over it
She finds it hard
some words come easy
but the meaning
the emotion,
the pain, the loss –
that's hard
She had dreams then
she had one nightmare
just one, night sweats, fear
grim reaper –
her dreams were no more World AIDS Campaign
no joy no laughter Get Involved...
stark reality
19 years have passed
long days, endless nights
she is pleased to be here
